When I'm not riding: |
I love to dance, sing, act, do martial arts, ski, and do fine arts with pastels, watercolor, and oils. When I'm not at the barn I miss my horse Chippy, but i get to play with my dogs GT and Molly. I also love my turtles. |
From a parent's perspective, the three most important thing my child has gained from showing horses are:
Siena's experience participating in the Junior Riding Team has given her increased confidence and poise. Additionally she has learned lessons in discipline, commitment, and responsibility. Siena clearly understand the financial challenge of riding at this level and is very involved and resourceful in earning money to help fund the budget. She welcomes the opportunity to do her part.

The three most important things I've learned in life from my experience with showing horses:
|
-
Patience - because when you and the horse are learning together both of you can make mistakes. You have to keep working to get better and what you are trying to do.
- Taking daily care of your horse will make her ready for the big shows. That way you don't have to rush to make your horse look the best she can be.
-
Performing with my horse and my team mates makes the competition at the shows very friendly and fun.
