The three most important things I've learned in life from my experience with showing horses
|
-
That winning is not everything, but it gives you a certain goal at every horse show to do your best.
-
That it takes time, patience, and practice, for you and your horse to get to know each other you can’t expect to win if you never practice!
-
If you’re nervous, your horse will be nervous, if you pull and tug on your horse, it’ll get agitated and annoyed, which is why you should always be relaxed and soft on your horse.

My Youth World Show experience
Just the feeling of waking up in the morning and that my horse and me are going to compete against other kids from all over the United States. And when I won, I felt like a princess. (And I got to rub it in my brother’s face!)

How I felt the first time I won a Championship
I was ecstatic! I remember shivering as I trotted up to go get my Champion Trophy, and laughed as I left the gate, thinking about how nervous I was going in the gate when it all started!
